Perioperative Practitioner: Ophthalmic - Spire Southampton Hospital

At Spire Southampton Hospital we have 79 beds, 12 consulting rooms and 5 operating theatres and treat patients from all across the South of England, as well as overseas. We are proud of our ability to offer complex procedures, due to our newly updated Critical Care Department, which includes intensive care and high dependency units. Specialties include orthopaedic, spinal and cardiac surgery, cardiology, neurosurgery, dermatology, ear nose and throat, ophthalmology, urology, cosmetic and bariatric surgery. We have an excellent diagnostic imaging department with CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound facilities. The Chalybeate Suite, our oncology department, was built in 2010 and offers clean, light and modern facilities in which to have cancer treatment. CPUK also have facilities at Spire Southampton Hospital, including new radiotherapy facilities improving further the comprehensive cancer services available here.

Our Vacancy
Due to an expansion of our operating theatre department and specifically with our ophthalmic surgery service, we are looking to recruit an experienced ophthalmic scrub nurse.

We carry out a wide range of surgery including Vitrectomy surgery.
