Team Leader in Edinburgh

Our Client, part of a group of healthcare providers are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join and lead their operating theatre team in Edinburgh.

Reporting to the Operating Theatre Manager, this role will involve supporting the Theatre Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the operating theatres which will include taking charge in the absence of the Theatre Manager and scrubbing in orthopaedic and a variety of other procedures.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Scrubbing
- Providing support and advice to the scrub team, Deputy Team Leaders and the Theatre Manager
- Conducting appraisals for more junior members of the team
- Delegating to other team members and decision making

The successful candidate will be either an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC or HPC PIN number. You will be an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner with previous leadership exposure. You must have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
