Recovery and Anaesthetics ODP/Nurse in Hampshire

My client is currently looking for an experienced Recovery Nurse/ODP, ideally with anaesthetic experience also.

The Hospital has 65 beds all with the comfort of en-suite facilities, satellite TV and telephone.

The hospital has four operating theatres and an outpatient theatre. In addition to the inpatient facilities, there is a comprehensive outpatient department including x-ray, health screening and a physiotherapy and hydrotherapy complex.

Skills
Technically competent ODP or RGN
Able to communicate effectively at all times.
Empathetic.
Efficient in planning and organising.
Able to manage time and to prioritise.
Works well alone or as part of the team.
Able to work well under pressure and remain calm in an emergency.
Able to make decisions and to solve problems.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to act with tact, courtesy, diplomacy, self-control and in a manner which reflects pride in the hospital, commitment and promotes excellent relationships with all customers.

Knowledge

ODP - NVQ level 3/RGN
Varied clinical experience in theatre in Recovery and ideally Anaesthetics
Emergency procedures.
Hospital policies and quality standards.
Understanding of the hospital as a business and support of its philosophy.
Knowledge of the working of the Hospital.
Statutory requirements for Health Authority, Health and Safety, fire and environmental health.
Legal obligations for patient safety and adverse occurrences.
Customer care philosophy.
Financial awareness.
