Deputy Operating Theatre Manager

Spire Dunedin is located on the Bath Road in Central Reading, Berkshire and has a long standing reputation for providing first class private medical care to patients in Berkshire, South Oxfordshire and North Hampshire.

Our Vacancy
We are looking for a Deputy Theatre Manager to support the Theatre Manager/Head of Clinical Services in the strategic and day to day running of the operating theatres at Spire Dunedin Hospital.

Main responsibilities:
1. Develop practice in the assessment of health and well being needs.
2. Develop practice in addressing patients health and well being needs.
3. Establish and maintain communication with various groups on complex and potentially stressful topics across a range of situations.
4. Develop own knowledge and practice and assist others to continually professionally develop.
5. Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security.
6. Develop strategies and policies for service improvement, to include the development of business initiatives both locally and nationally.
7. Improve quality.
8. Enable people to exercise their rights and promote their equality and diversity.
9. Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices.
10. Delegate work to others.
11. Determine the effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources.
12. Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team.
13. Develop practice in applying technology and measurement, monitoring and treatment.
14. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
