Critical Care Resident Medical Officer - London

Set in central London, this large hospital, part of a group of prestigious healthcare providers, are looking for a Critical Care Resident Medical Officer (RMO).

This role will involve assisting in the management of patients in the critical care units and other clinical areas; providing support to Consultants.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Acting as part of the Outreach Team to provide first line assessment and resuscitation to critically ill patients
- To act on the decisions of the Consultant on the management of the patient
- Clerk relevant admissions
- Undertake daily ward rounds with relevant nursing staff and/ or Consultant
- Assess patients at the request of the nurses
- Provide emergency treatment to staff or visitors in case of accident or sudden illness
- Blood taking

The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Doctor who has experience of managing patients with multi-organ failure and patients requiring intubation & cardiopulmonary support. You will have knowledge of insertion of central venous catheters (CVC lines), double lumen dialysis catheters, arterial lines and a basic understanding of renal replacement therapy.

Lead Operating Theatre Practitioner ~ Spinal Surgery in London

Centrally located in London, this large hospital which is part of a group of healthcare providers, are looking for a Lead Operating Theatre Practitioner in Spinal Surgery to join their team.

This role will involve working at a senior level in theatres, taking a special interest in spinal surgery.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Scrubbing for a spinal and other procedures including neurosurgery, liver surgery, orthopaedics, complex urology, cardiac, gynaecology and general surgery.
- Supervising junior members of the team
- Managing and influencing the complex care provided within operating theatres
- Providing expert knowledge on spinal procedures

The successful candidate will be an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC or HPC PIN number and experience scrubbing for spinal surgery as well as in some of the other areas listed above. You must have excellent communication skills and be a team player.

Our Day Unit is a fast paced and bustling department used primarily for the admission, second stage recovery and discharge of our day surgery cases. On average we see (35) in one working day.

MHRA Seizes more than £25 Million of Counterfeit Medicine in Last Five Years as New Anti-counterfeiting Strategy Launches
