Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is an important hospital in the Spire Healthcare portfolio. We have a broad range of modern acute facilities which include 3 operating theatres and an endoscopy suite. We have 44 single private rooms, 2 critical care level 2 rooms, a 16 bedded day care unit and 12 consulting rooms. We have state-of-the-art CT and MRI scanners. These are supported by a number of other departments like Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Pathology. In addition Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is a partnership site for BUPA Wellness offering different types of health screens. We are also a partner hospital for Breast Health UK and are accredited for both bowel and breast cancer.
Main responsibilities: To provide the multidisciplinary perioperative team with an exemplary Sterile Supplies Department [SSD] Service within the operating theatre suite.
Lead the SSD team and operationally manage the SSD service ensuring all department staff work within the QMS and CE accreditation systems.
Experience: Previous experience of working in a SSD. Previous supervisory experience. Working with minimum supervision. Effective utilisation of resources ¿ people, stock and equipment. Building effective relationships with consultants and the theatre team.
Knowledge and Technical Ability: Understands a range of SSD work routines
