Our client is a new centre with state of the art facilities based in Southampton. They provide day surgery procedures to NHS patients for a variety of cases including ENT, gynae, general, oral, orthopaedics and urology. The endoscopy unit provides diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies, flexi sigmoidoscopies and gastrostomies across 2 treatment rooms.
We are currently looking to recruit an Endoscopy nurse to join the team. You will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients, gaining consent, maintaining patient records, completing documentation, supporting the Endoscopist, taking responsibility for patient preparation, support and well being and maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities and equipment.
The right candidate for this position will be RGN or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualified and registered with either NMC or HPC. You will have experience of working within an endoscopy suite and be willing to work as part of a team environment. You must also be flexible to work with demands of the business.
