The NHS Staff Council today published national principles that will underpin local negotiations on new on-call arrangements. These were developed in partnership by employers and the health trade unions and will make on-call pay and arrangements more consistent, equitable and adaptable to local needs. The twelve principles include equal pay, travel to work and frequency of travel.
