AfPP West Midlands/Wales Study Day
Team Working and Safety in Electrosurgery/Management of Difficult Airway
Date: 10th December 2011 (09:30-16:00)
Venue: Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield
An interesting and interactive team working study day that is aimed at theatre practitioners of all backgrounds, specialities and levels. This study day provides an opportunity to enhance the knowledge & skills of delegates in one of two optional workshops that focus on high risk areas of practice. These will integrate clinical skills with the team working elements that underpin safe and effective clinical practice.
The day commences with an interactive combined group session facilitated by the Hollier Simulation Centre lead consultant. After lunch the theory is then applied into clinical practice during two practical breakout sessions that are led by a team of trainers from the Heart of England Hollier Simulation faculty.
Breakout sessions:
Safety in electrosurgery
A practical workshop within the simulation facility on achieving safe outcomes in situations of airway difficulty
